Watch Edmond Liberty Fest Parade at RE/MAX Platinum

Edmond’s annual Liberty Fest Parade, one of the largest annual parades in Oklahoma, is July 4 in downtown Edmond, and one of the best spots to watch the parade is right in front of my office in downtown Edmond at Broadway and Hurd – 19 N. Broadway to be exact.

The parade starts at 9 am and normally runs until about 10:30 am. Parking is at a premium, so if you would like to watch from our lawn, plan to arrive from the west off Fretz no later than 8:30 am. Bring lawn chairs and a blanket and come enjoy the fun.

We will be there with refreshments and our bathrooms will be open if needed.

Edmond Liberty Fest Parade starts 9 am July 4 in Downtown Edmond.
The parade passes right in front of our RE/MAX Platinum building at 19 N. Broadway.
If you want to join us for the parade, enter off Fretz on the west side of Broadway on Hurd.
Parking will be a challenge so plan to walk a bit. Bring lawn chairs and arrive at 8:30 to get the best spot.
Liberty Fest is one of the largest parades in Oklahoma and has been rated a “must see parade” by USA Today.
The Shriners always put on a good show.
You can see everything from tractors to horses to bicycles to antique cars.
Our office will be open if you need restrooms or just a place to cool off during the parade.
Kids love the parade and can get close to all the action. Bring water because the parade lasts nearly 2 hours.
Who knew there was a club for Cushman Scooter owners?

Buying an “as-is” property

Buying an “as-is” house can be financially rewarding, but is also a risky proposition, and not something I recommend for first-time home buyers.

Downsides of carpet allowance in lieu of new carpet

Sellers often ask if they can just provide a carpet allowance on a listing in lieu of installing new carpet. In their mind, this is a benefit to the buyer since it allows the buyer to choose their own color and style of carpet. The benefit to the seller is they don’t have to deal […]

Hosting Bicycle Riders from South Korea

James and I hosted two young men – Min Ho Park Jaewon Heo –  from South Korea who were riding bicycles this summer from Los Angeles to New York. They contacted us through Warmshowers.org, where we offer a room for bicycle riders to stay as they travel across America. They are following Route 66 from […]

Butterfield Overland Stage route on dirt bikes

Kay and I both love history, and we love riding motorcycles. We often combine our dual sport rides with a bit of historical sleuthing. This time we decided to follow in the footsteps of the Butterfield Overland Stage Route as it made it’s way through Oklahoma from St. Louis to the 1850’s gold fields of […]
