This morning Kay and I rode our bicycles to downtown Edmond to Edmond’s monthly “Cops and Coffee” meeting – this time held at Evoke coffee house on Main Street. We love riding around Edmond on our Fuji hardtail mountain bikes. It gives us a chance to ride back roads, sidewalks, and pathways that we sometimes don’t even know existed. In fact we ran across a building just this morning that we had probably driven by hundreds of times but didn’t even realize was there – what we think was an old Edmond ice house or packing house just north of 2nd Street and west of Broadway.
Kay took the opportunity to ask questions of several of the Edmond patrol division officers. They were very friendly and were happy to interact with citizens they serve. One topic was the security measures they take for the “Heard on Hurd” event. It was interesting to hear the planning and coordination that goes into this public event, with their goal of keeping citizens safe.
